Body area network projects:
- Body area network projects are more importantly focuses on healthcare networks. Body area network has many wireless sensors that can sense the changes in the body of a patient.
What is Body Area Network ?
- Body Area Network is also called as wireless Body Area Network. This Body Area Network is easily portable and it can be easily implemented on the human body. It is used in many medical applications like the sugar level, BP level of the patient can be monitored. If it is implanted on any particular area , the security of the area can be monitored thereby it is useful in military applications, many health care applications and bio-medical applications.
Extra body communication:
- In Extra body communication the communication happens between the sensor nodes which is implemented on the body with the sensor nodes outside the body. In military WBAN is used for purpose for security reason , WBAN implanted in patient monitoring system are extra body communication system because in both security and patient we need to report to the other person like military person and the doctor. Body area network projects serves for safety and security purposes.
Intra body communication:
- In Intra body communication is the communication between the sensor node which is implemented inside the human body.
There are two types of WBAN in communication they are
1. Extra body communication
2. Intra body communication
WBAN in OMNET++:
WBAN can be implemented using OMNET++ which is Object Oriented Modern Network used for simulation purpose. We provide B.E , M.E projects for the simulation of body area network projects. We provide WBAN network for patient monitoring system as shown in the figure.
The above is example of WBAN network for patient monitoring system which helps to monitor patient's heart beat,BP ,sugar level etc and report to doctor with the help of body node co-ordinator.
