Cooja Network Simulator:
- A software that makes a computer to behave like a another system which is entirely different from the original system is called the Simulator. For example in traffic analyzing system wireless sensor nodes are embedded , by using simulator we can analyze the traffic without embedding the WSN directly on the spot.

What is Cooja?
- Cooja is a extended java based simulating tool which allows us to simulate small and large scale networks. Cooja is mainly used for contiki development. It also helps us to test the code before it implemented in the target hardware device.
-
How to start and work with contiki cooja?
- Open the cooja terminal and give the following commands
cd contiki/ tools /cooja
ant run
COOJA Network Simulator:
Cooja Network simulator will run automatically and simulator screen will appear on screen. Types of Windows appears in Cooja Network Simulator:
Timeline Window:
In this window the various events occurs over the period of time . The events can be filtered using the drop down button and save it in separate file.
Mode Output Window:
This window shows the output of any motes. This helps to analyze the result more accurately also we can print the outputs on screen.
Simulation Control Window:
Using this window we can start , stop and resume the simulation . Also helps to completely reload the simulation.
Network Window:
By using this window we can change the mote also we can display various network factors including network traffic.
In cooja network simulator large amount of data available is collected in the sensor collector view and those information can be seen as graphs also. This helps the user to create their own graphs and analysis. We help you simulate your network and do your project successfully.
